Community Highlight - “mad Clan” Discord
I embarked on my FIRST EVER TWITCH LIVE STREAM on 3 November 2024. I wasn’t quite sure if live streaming would be something I enjoyed but it’s always been in my queue of new adventures to embark on. On 11 November 2024, I checked the final box for Twitch Affiliate status…absolutely mental. I’m officially a Twitch Affiliate!
I cannot highlight the sheer level of welcomeness, hospitality, networking, and just general greatness of the Twitch Community. Sure, there are some clout chasers, bad apples here and there – but overall, just simply good people trying to chase their dreams.
More specifically, the MAD CLAN, which consists of popular streamers such as Mad_Matty_, Suparticus, FrankCastle2k21 and many others…they have embraced me with open arms. Not only are they massively talented streamers and down to earth people – they brought me in, raided my channel after their streams, shouted me out in their channels, among other things… all on their own volition.
If you’ve read some of my other blogs or social media posts, you may have seen me write this quote;
“A rising tide lifts all boats.”
My exponential Twitch Channel growth from zero to affiliate in just EIGHT DAYS is the perfect example of this. Did they have anything to gain by doing these actions? Not implicitly. They ended up gaining a follower, subscriber, and a certain level of admiration for their deeds and words. Oddly enough, it made me respect them in a certain way.
These are the type of feelings I’d like to be able to impart to other up and coming streamers, content creators, and eventually just people as a whole – in every facet of life. This is what Community is all about, one of the pillars in my vision as you can see at the top/top left of my website….Gaming, Fitness, Community. Bringing joy, good conversations, good memories and more to peoples’ lives…its why I do what I do.
I had to go back and edit this because YESTERDAY….Mad Matty was on the front page of twitch! An abosuletely monumental day for him. Such a down to earth dude and talented streamer who deserves all the blessings. So I had to throw that in here. Here’s a screenshot of him on the front page hitting over 4K viewers! LEGENDARY.

Obviously, there are other factors at play in regard to the channel’s growth. I would be remiss if I did not mention the Iron Realms community and the followers across my many platforms, family, friends, etc. All you helped lay the building bricks that lay the foundation for my channel – so thank you all sincerely. You are the foundation and the Twitch community is just adding to the kingdom!
Overall, I have had a phenomenal time and have become obsessed. I am nonstop planning streams, networking with other streamers, building new emotes, animations, overlays, etc. It has consumed me in a good way as I still chip away on my other hobbies and projects…like IRONHEIM REFORGED! It has re-ignited my passion for actually playing games, versus only overseeing gameservers. I can foresee me streaming for a long time…maybe forever.
